Hi Vinnynain,
A good place to look for apts here in DC is gragslist. I would suggest you areas like Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. They are very good places to live, close to GW Law and metro or bus accessible. You can even walk to the school. They are quite pricey though.
Good luck!

Sorry, post graduate... you're right :). What I meant was that these 2 neighborhood are usually more expensive than others. Based upon what i have seen, the prices for a 3 bedroom apt in Dupont Cicle range from 4 to 6k. I'm not sure about foggy bottom area prices, but I believe they are more or less the same.

Where in India from? I am originally from India myself - but when to undergrad. and law school here in the states. Also, what LL.M program are you pursuing at GW?

@ vinnynain
To tell you the truth vinnynain, when i asked you where you are from, I had this funny feeling that you were an Indian!!!! And I was right!!! Well I am from Mumbai, working for the past two years with a leading law firm in India. I will be a part of the general LLM programme but will basically have an arbitration and dispute resolution focus.
@varnieri
do you know of any cheaper options?

Has anyone received the username for the admitted students website? this is getting to my nerves guys cause despite repeated reminders (5 emails) and finally a telephone call, no one seems to be bothered to set the damn thing for me... besides i really do think that ever since i paid my 500 USD there has been a total lack of communication on part of the graduates programme office so much so that it took 3 to 4 emails spread over almost 2 weeks for them to confirm whether they have received my I 20 documents.

Still waiting on them to do this. I have also called the several times about when they will deposit the $500 check I sent them in February! 3 1/2 months later, still not deposited. They told me they have received it.

Im also waiting for my I-20. No username or anything related to the student portal so far.

I started my LLM early, last spring, in the international and comparative law program. I'm happy to answer any questions about GW Law, international and comparative law program, or living in DC.
