GW vs. Georgetown

GodBless

Hey guys!

I just wanted to know.. what is better? GW or Georgetown?
I already got into GW. But planning to apply to Georgetown too. Is it necessary? Or even a good idea?
Just want some input on this.
Thanks

Hi! I plan to take up business law. I have opted for the business and financial law specialization in GW. And will take the securities specialization in Georgetown. I wish to work in the US after. Any input?

Hi sweetlawyer! Thank you for replying.
But again, please give me your reasons for preferring GW over Georgetown?

Ranking, reputation, campus...

These are some reasons that made me apply to Georgetown and not even consider GW. But then again, this is a personal choice. You should take a look at both programs and classes and decide which one fits your interests better...

i personally prefer GW because of the expert teachers on financial business, good academic environment, student body, and it is located in the capital where there are financial districts. thus, after graduation, you'll have opportunity to work and familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of the office where you want to be employed.... that experience will be amazing ....

Hi,
I got accepted to both Uni last year and I choose Gtown; I'm in International Law Program. The reason:
1. Ranking, ranking, ranking
2. Gtown has more students, hence, more classes and networking. The lecturers are from both academician and practitioner.
3. Both Uni located in NW, DC, and it's not difficult to get around the city. Gtown law has its own campus and it's located near the Union Station; so it's not in Georgetown.
4. Gtown has Certificate in Dispute Resolution, WTO, etc.

Ive applied at both gW and GT.
by when should I expect a response.
I also applied at Berkley and Upenn.
Is it too late to apply at any other college as well?
i have a 61.3% aggregate, Indian student. and im looking for business laws primarily.

I'm Indian with the same aggregate too!
U can apply to more places. NYU, Columbia has a dec 15 deadline I think. But there are lots of other places!

Ya most schools prefer students with work ex. does not mean they wont look at u. U should have a decent profile even without the workex.
