Does anyone know what the standards are for admission to Florida, Georgetown or NYU? What percent are admitted?
One more question:
I am a CPA and want to get into Estate Planning. Does anyone have any imput as to whether I need to get an LLM at all?

1. Do you have a JD?
A. IF you DO NOT have JD you cannot enter a LLM Program, take the bar, or practice law. So you would want to take the LSAT, and apply to law school, then go to law school for 3 years, then apply for LLM programs.
B. If you DO have your JD, depends on how many and what type of tax classes you have taken.
2. IMHO Whether you need a LLM after your JD would depend on the type of clients you are going to have. If you want to work for clients with substantial estates, I have been told that you should have a LLM as it will make you more competitive at Firms that handle such clients and better able to be a competent council. If you are going to be working with the sub 2 million net worth people, I know of many successful estate lawyers that do not have a LLM.

Thanks for your response.
I just finished my first year, so I will have a JD.
Does anyone regret spending the money on the LLM?
Any recommendations to how I could improve my admission chances?
Thanks again
