Gradings for top universities

Durham Red

Hi

I have spread the quality of the universities I've applied for quite wide (7 in total). Buffalo, Boston, George Washington, Fordham, Georgetown, Texas at Austin and UPenn.

I have just received my LSAC report but because I have an English academic background, I don't know which US universities will consider my grading. UPenn and the DC universities appeal to me the most.

Could anyone tell me if the better universities in my list are likely to entertain an LSAC quality of academic record of 'Above Average' and a grade average of 'IIi (B+)'?

I have five years as a practicing UK lawyer as well.

Thank you.

You stand a good chance of getting into all of those. I got into Georgetown with a 2:1 from Ox (non-law), reasonable but not showy grades from GDL/LPC thereafter, and four years PQE at a magic circle firm.

Thanks edge_50. I imagine an Oxford degree looks better on an application than Northampton!
