Georgetown recruit 300 LLM?

From Georgetown's website, I am a little surprised to find that it has recruited 320 llm studentds last year. With such a large amount of llm students, is the law center fully prepared in the terms of faculty, curriculum and other facilities?

And I know that LLM is forbiddened to take 1L JD courses. And all the JD courses shall accomodate JD first. Although there is LLM specialized courses, I still prefer to have the course with JD, in this way, I can fully take advantage of the 9 months to experience American Legal education.

As far as my understanding, most of the top 14 law schools allow LLM students to choose JD courses without striction. I have been told that LLM students is prejudiced in Georgetown. I am not sure it is rumor or not. I do wish I am over worried.

According to the website, It seems that the law school give priority to JD students in registration of the JD courses.

Georgetown has an incredible course selection scheduled next year. But you're right, they do give priority to JD students for JD classes. In fact, if you apply for the individualized LLM, you must submit a proposed plan of study. If you have too many JD courses, or if the few JD courses you plan on taking are too high demand, then, apparently, they reject the application. If you are looking for a basic understanding of the American legal system, it seems you may be disadvantaged at Georgetown since the LLM designated courses appear to be mostly for more advanced studies.
