Hi,
just received the info materials from Georgetown for their foundations course and was wondering if people have already decided whether or not to do it.

Cheers

I have the same question...We would really appreciate people from previous years who took it, whether they found it necessary and helpful...Thanks.

I spoke with a colleague who has attended the Foundations course and he found it very useful, not only because he could have a better view of the whole American legal system but also because he could get to know the study methodology (e.g. take-home exams, grading system, etc.)before the beginning of the Fall Term.

Thanks for this info...I believe that's why the school "strongly recommends" taking Foundations...
Though I still have to wait for other decisions, if I enroll in Georgetown, I think I'll attend Foundations, too...

Hi guys. A friend of mine who is living now at Washington DC told some time ago that if you take Foundations Course you are allow to take different and more courses when doing the LL.M. (than those students that didn't enroll at Foundations).
Hope this will be useful for you.

I am also thinking of attending to Foundations if I decide to go to GU... do u know the apro. average of the students going to GU that previously attend Foundations?

As an 2005-2006 LLM candidate from GULC, I suggest you to take foundations! Foundations include classes with the best in GULC faculty, There's a big difference between those who take it and those who dont. People who took foundations, are very good friends and make more conections since they meet with all the fullbright scholars who take it as well. The Fullbright Program has chosen GULC foundations's program because of its quality... not to mention the great experience of spending a whole summer with very interesting and important attorneys from all over the world!
