I just sent my application to GULC as well for the tax LLM.
I am French lawyer, did a degree in taxation in France and then worked at a law firm in the indirect tax department for almost a year and a half now. Graduated first with honors from my diploma in 2007.
I had three letters of recommandation : two from the partners in charge of the department and one from the director of the tax degree I attended.
So, what do you guys think ? got a shot at this ? (I only applied to GULC ...)
Good luck to all the applicants

Hi Kaneda!
Well it's just my opinion but i think you have great credentials! it should be fine for you!
Concerning what I wrote in a previous post, i contacted the admissions office as to know why I couldn't access the online status check and apparently it's just not working...
anyways, it appears now that my recommendation letters and Registar's Certification were lost by the post (although sent via registered mail), because GULC did not receive anything.... so my application's fate at Geaorgetown is sealed! :)
good luck to everyone!

Hey laodeshu,
which number did you call or did you send an e-mail? I am worried too since I can't be sure if they have got my Registrar's Certification sheet.
Btw, where are you from?

Hi Laodeshu,
Are you sure that the recommendation letters and registrar's certificate were lost?? Maybe they are still on the way?? If they were really lost, is it possible to get new letters/certificate? Please don't give up!

Hi Nokina!
Thanks for your message! I am pretty sure they are lost, as Georgetown hasn't received anything although all other schools received the applications... i sent everything on the same day, about three weeks ago..
and the post office can't locate the package.. all they can tell me is that the package is no longer in France...but they cannot say if it arrived in the US or if it's somewhere else.. great, that's helpful, lol.
I emailed GULC to explain them the situation but what can i really do but waiting and whining... ?
I won't have time to get other reco letters, one was from a partner i worked with in China, and the other one from a professor from Switzerland... so it seems pretty jeopardized....
So I guess no Georgetown whatsoever for me... well, maybe i wouldn't have been accepted anyways...
good luck to you Nokina! I hope you'll get in!

Hi laodeshu,
I think if you sent the application before the deadline, GULC will see on the package when they get it that it was actually sent way before November 21st...
So keep your hopes up

Hi friends...
I also have submitted my online application but no email confirming that my application is "received+completed". I think the Registrar's Certification is the only one meterial that has not been reached!
I am a dead end. Is it the same to you??
Cheers to everyone.

Hi,
I received my application complete confirmation email this morning.
It took GULC a few days to send it so don't worry.

FYI. I contacted the Admission Office, they said this Friday is not a hard deadline. As long as the pending meterials are to be reached within the early next week, you shall be considered as Early Action.
Now I'm waiting for the confirming email too.... with fingers crossed.....

Georgetown seems to be a popular university as lots of people are applying to it...however, just out of curiosity, how are you people intending to fund it? Through loans and savings?
Good luck too!
