Fordham v. UIUC+$10000

Fordham v. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with $10000
I plan to take the NY Bar exam and get some legal work experiences(any legal work) before come back to Taiwan. I am so confused because of the location and ranking of these two schools. Fordham has a better location(NY, Ranking:34) but UIUC has a better ranking(21, location: IL). And also I don't really know Fordham University very much. How is it reputation?
Please give me some advise or your choice between this two schools to help me make my mind. Thanks a lot.

I would say the most important thing is don't stick too much with the ranking. I think there are many reasons above the ranking, such as your living style which is very important, you mentioned about the location, so i doubt that you do concern about that too. Just think about two places. One is the big big city. IT'S NEW YORK CITY and the other one is the middle of corn field. I mean, they're very contrast. so go wherever you will be happy.
You may consider about the tuition, the curriculum, the diversity of the students, activities etc. which I think more important. what I have heard is that LL.M. in UIUC will be just like studying in China. There are so many chinese. Which is not bad except that you will get less chance to speak english.
A professor said to me that in the reality, among top 50 schools, there wouldn't be that much different of the education. just go wherever you want.

unfortunately, i don't really know about Fordham.
If you like living in the small town. --> UIUC should be good option
- save more money since you are granted scholarship and living in the small city.

on the other hand, if you are kind of big city person--> go with Fordham
- explore NYC ! , but expensive cost.
