Final year students applying - have any of you been admitted/rejected yet?

llmnyc2009

Hi,

I am a final year law UK student (with pre-qualification legal work experience) and have applied to CLS, NYU and Fordham.... I've gotten in to Fordham but have heard nothing from CLS and NYU.

Does anyone know if they are holding off on advising final year students til the very end?
Have any final year students been admitted or rejected for CLS or NYU yet? If so, please let me know and what country you are from...

Thanks!

Hi llmnyc2009,

I know that several domestic students who are in their final year, including myself, have been admitted. I don't know anything about international students, however. I tend to doubt that NYU is holding off on advising final year students till the very end. But given that it is March 14, and that they promised that international students who applied by the December 1 deadline will be notified by mid-March, I wouldn't worry about it now and just wait a few more days. You may still get good news! If you don't hear anything by next Friday, you may wish to contact them.

Good luck!

Thanks rbp.

I noted that they do say that they give admissions all the way up to June for NYU and late April for CLS, and considering CLS especially made such a big deal out of being a final year student when I was applying, I thought perhaps they hadn't considered me as yet.

Which program have you been accepted to?

Thanks rbp.

First of all, I was talking only about NYU. I don't know anything about CLS or any other law school. I thought that NYU's website said that international students that had applied by the December 1 deadline would get a decision by mid-March. I thought it said the international students that applied later than the December 1 deadline as well as domestic students would hear by June. I may have misunderstood.

As I said, I am a domestic student in my final year at a JD program. I applied to NYU for their program in taxation and was admitted. I've read a couple of other posts on this website of domestic students in their final year being accepted to NYU for their tax program. That's all I know.

I'm a final year student from Belgium and have been admitted already to Duke and UVA in US (and London schools in UK).

Other people in my year I know of have already been admitted to schools as NYU and UPenn.

Hi Bowen,

When did you get your admission email and materials complete email from Columbia? And can I ask what your qualifications were?

Thanks.

If I get admitted to Harvard I will go there, otherwise it will be Columbia. I hope I will receive the decision from Harvard next week...

I'm a final year student from India and I've got an offer from NYU. Though, in January, NYU asked me for my for my Fall Semester grades. I sent them in two weeks ago and received my offer yesterday.
