I'm a JD from an accredited law school in the States. I did very well in law school. I have not been practicing but have been clerking for a number of years and am considering an Environmental Law LLM.

I have a few questions, if anyone has time to answer them:

1. Is an Environmental Law LLM worth it? I'm considering it mainly because it seems like a difficult field to get into right now without practical experience. I have a great deal of writing and research experience but none specifically in environmental law. Is it a good way to obtain a job?

2. Rankings aside, what are the benefits of various schools in the West? I'm probably not interested in studying or practicing elsewhere. Which schools offer the best networking opportunities and practical experience? Are any especially difficult to get into?

3. Which schools have the best clinical or externship programs?

4. Anyone know accurate post-LLM employment statistics for Environmental LLM programs?

Thank you!!
