Hey,
I've got admits from Duke (general llm) and American University (ILSP).
1) I would like to know which one is better for international law
2) which one would be better in terms of securing a job post graduation?
3) which one would be better if I'm looking for a job in an international organization i.e. UN etc.
Please advise...Really need help..Thanks in advance.
Duke or American

Just based on general knowledge, and a little bit of research (I was gona apply to Duke this year), my view is Duke is better in all three areas. And quite clearly so, too.

@ trout_face.. I thought the same, but at WCL, you can do an internship for credits(it has connections with the WB), which I've not heard of in any other University. And, I was wondering, since WCL is located in D.C., there would be much better oppurtunities and exposure as opposed to Durham, which is relatively small..I'm not sure and I might be wrong..but would that be on any consequence?
@Iowa.. Any particular reason for Duke?

Duke is one of the top law schools in the country, American is not---although maybe American has some hidden gem of an international law program of which I am not aware.
Do not underestimate Durham; it is part of a larger region known as the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). Cost of living is lower in North Carolina.

But, isn't that the ranking of JD and not LLM. Is there any reliable rating for LLMs. On the website, it is given that WCL llm is ranked sixth in the United States among international law LLM programs.

They are probably referring to the US News speciality ranking for international law: http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/international-law

Exactly, but thats what I'm really interested in..International Law. So WCL seems the better option but the overall ranking and reputation of Duke is brilliant. I'm in a fix!
