Hi everyone.
I'm here because I have a dilemma and I need some help.
A few years ago I planned my application to grad school. I'm from South America.
My Statement of Purpose it was clear. Studying and back to my country.
However, I got married (in my country) and got a permanent residence in the States (because of my wife). Now, I can apply as resident (financial aid, scholarships, etc). So, I have serious problem rewriting my SoP because my initial purpose changed. Nowadays, I don't know how to tackle this situation (I would like to take the bar exam or if that is not possible back to my country and keep working).
I am somewhat confused about this and I would like to hear some comments.
I don't know what is more powerful, If I focus my application as a new immigrant because this program will give me the chance to take the bar exam or get a better job (so, a fresh start in the US) or I should focus my application in the fact that this LLM would give the opportunity to change the world and when I back to my country I will apply the knowledge and bla bla bla ...
Thank you for your time and comments.
