Hi, everyone. Hope you all had a great holiday season and are staying safe.
Here's my current debacle: LSAC received my transcripts (only one, for my law school) on November 24 and they were processed by LSAC and sent to AACRAO on December 9. I submitted my online applications (Columbia, NYU, UChicago and Berkeley) within the respective deadlines.
However, on December 23 I received an email from LSAC informing of an observation issued by AACRAO regarding certain transfer credit which appeared on my transcript, and that if I attended any other post-secondary institutions I should submit transctipts, etc.. Long story short, the transfer credits are not transfer credit for another university: one is a specific way that my university has of reflecting that I passed a seminar (which had previously been a regular subject under the previous curriculum); and the other "transfer credits" relate to the IGCSE exams I took in high school, which I used to pass two English courses in law school, but I was not obliged to submit transcripts for these exams, since they are secondary level exams I took in high school (so, no "post-secondary institution" here).
I responded LSAC's email and included the above explanations as soon as I received it, but since they did not work during the holidays, today they told me that the email was forwarded to AACRAO yesterday, and that AACRAO is taking approximately 2 weeks to respond emails! Thus, I am worried that AACRAO might not accept the explanations and request that I submit additional documents, which will take some time to collect, and which they will take a long time to review as well, and that all of this will keep delaying the issuance of the CAS reports to the universities to which I applied.
Therefore, my questions are the following:
1. Has anyone else faced a similar situation?
2. Is there any way of expediting AACRAO's review of my 1-page email explaining why I don't have to submit any additional transcripts?
3. Are the universities understanding of these types of situations (Uchicago, for example, has a completion deadline of February 1)? On the universities websites it says that the most important thing is to submit the application and post-mark the documents by the deadlines, but they do not state what the expected completion deadlines are (save for UChicago). Should I reach out to them to explain this?
Many thanks in advance!

I don't know if this helps but I am in a similar situation.
My post grad transcripts were processed by LSAC on December 20th and then sent to AACRAO, where they are still being reviewed, their deadline is January 15.
I e-mailed most of my schools and they told me that as long as the transcripts arrive by january 15 there will be no problem.
Seeing as I was anxious I called LSAC and asked if it was possibile to send partial reports to the schools did not require AACRAO evaluation, seeing as most schools do not, and the reply was that I should e-mail the schools asking for this, if they comply then they will e-mail LSAC directly and ask for a partial report.
Hope this helps.

I had a very similar issue back in September - I had credits from English proficiency exams and teaching assistantship and LSAC sent me an e-mail that was probably identical to the one you got.
I replied with an explanation, which they accepted and then marked my transcripts as complete. This was pretty quick (around 2-3 days), but it was well before LSAC’s busy season.
I don’t have any advice other than making that email as clear and concise as possible (and highlighting that you those are not credits from another institution and your deadline). LSAC is very busy right now, I sent them an email on the 30th re. another issue and it was only acknowledged today, who knows how long a response is going to take.
I’d get in touch with schools if you haven’t solved this in 10 days or so.

Hello, I am also in a similar situation. While a diploma transcript has been processed, my first law degree transcript only reached LSAC on December 30th and has not been acknowledged by them yet. Were you able to make do with partial reports? I will be emailing colleges about this tonight.
