Hey everyone,
I understood that, for a foreign-educated lawyer to take the NY bar following an LLM, the LLM has to be an in-person programme, meaning online classes do not grant access (see Rule 22 NYCRR 520.6 § 520.6). But I wonder if anything changed now that the coronavirus has forced most if not all classes online. Does anyone know if an exception has been created? Maybe temporarily, or maybe this slightly antiquated requirement was even abolished (fingers crossed)?
Thanks!

They’re hybrid remote/in person right now. Most lecturers are zooming in for class. If you’re talking about an exclusively online LLM, they are not going to let that one count. I like the rule, otherwise it’s going to be a race to the bottom with the llm game.
