Cornell Vs Pennlaw

steph

Hi,

I was admitted in both of these schools and I don't know which one to choose. They are both Ivy league, good ranking... but I still have to make a choice.
Thank you for any comments, suggestions...

Hi,
I am from France, Paris.
So we are in the same situation, do you have a preference between cornell and penn or you still don't know which one to choose?

Hi Steph...I found myself in a similar position as well...made the call for Upenn..Penn Law's reputation and ranking, plus its location helped me make up my mind vis a vis Cornell...

Hi Steph,
I studied last year in Paris! (Paris1) :)))
I think I'm going to Penn (reputation...ranking...only 90 miles away from NYC and a few more from DC...), but I haven't made the decision yet...
It seems to me that there is a bunch of people in the Cornell LLM, is that right?
Have you applied to LSE?
Let me know your choice!
Bye!

I think I am going to choose cornell, I know that it's far from everything but Cornell is very famous in Europe. the only thing which makes me hesitate is the ranking. Do you think that penn is really better?

jersey_girl, I didn't apply for lse. I really wanted to go to the US. When do you have to make your decision?

I have to take my decision by the end of next week more or less (not for LSE). But I think a US LLM is a better choice for a European Student, don't you think?
I meant in my last post "a bunch of french people", i forgot to mention "french" :)))))
uuuhhhh...I'm getting crazy!!

I am not sure that an llm in the US is very different from one in the uk. it depends on your preferences I guess.
I know that in Cornell there is about 8 french and most of them are from paris (especially I and II). according to some of them they are having a good time over there.
I think you should better go to the US , the question is where.

Hi everybody !

I agree with steph, rather choose US LLM over UK, for reputation and NY bar.
I got rejection from Oxford but would still have picked Cornell if I had received an admission from Oxford. Was admitted to the LSE but won't go there for the same reasons.

Good luck with your struggling choices !
