Cornell/Duke/Georgetown/Berkeley

LM1066

Hi everyone,

I have been desperately trying to scroll through all the discussions to get ideas on where to go but I am still so lost and would really appreciate some insight.

I have been accepted by Cornell, Duke, Berkeley and Georgetown
then waitlisted by Chicago and UPENN.
for the general LLM
and still waiting on NYU ILS program

I live in London and I hope to work in the US for a year post LLM and then come back.

I am looking for a university which will offer me the best brand for when applying to jobs/ which has the best career service.

I do not mind what location I am in, it is really a matter of reputation and career prospects!

Please help!!!

thank you so much in advance :))))

Well done. Excellent schools. May put a word in for Duke? I live in the Raleigh Durham area and no Duke well. My “other “runs a graduate program at Duke. It is an awesome University with a superior LLM program. It’s a very well thought of in the US. With that said, it’s hard to argue with Berkeley or Georgetown. Both of the schools are in fantastic cities and will probably be much more comfortable for you coming from London. Duke has a small town feel to it but I love the south. Grew up in Southern California, but love the weather in North Carolina. Four seasons, winters are mild, summers are hot and humid but you have to love the afternoon thunderstorms. As for job potential, all of these schools are on par. University of Chicago, where are you are waitlisted, would probably be best choice overall. You’re not going to go wrong with any of the schools.

If you get Chicago, Upenn or NYU - I highly recommend Uchicago. It is an excellent Law school and a top 5 in America, consecutively. Uchi and then NYU or UPenn. NYU is over populated with students, Uchi law classes are relatively smaller.

Uchi - Upenn - NYU

after them 2. I would recommend Berkley

Congrats, this is a great achievement
