Hi Guys,
I am awaiting a decision from Cornell and I am from England with a 2.1 degree. A 2.2 degree is not going to do you any favours at all so it must be supported by decent work experience or something else that will make you stand out. Unfortunately, you must understand a 2.1 degree in law is now becoming the norm in the UK...and getting a training contract at a reputable firm let alone getting into an ivy league university is going to be extremely difficult.
I don't wish to discourage you but I don't want to lie to you either...I have a 2.1 from a Top 20 university, mooting experience, work experience, and am sitting the New York Bar Exam next week but I am only 21 and I have already been rejected/waitlisted at certain LLM's.
