Don't feel bad! It is very competitive out there and there are many factors involved. Some are objective factors such a minimum toefl score (100) or a min GPA, and some are more personal from the committee. Sometimes the reviewers value more some aspects than others, I don't think you will ever know the reason, so try not to punish yourself!
