Thank you everyone for your responses. I sent an email asking whether I am awarded a scholarship, they responded me that they are unable to grant me one and I should consider external funding. It might make thinks clearer for those who were not informed about scholarship in the admission email. Congrats to those who are granted scholarship.

If you don't mind me asking, in your email of admissions, did they state that your scholarship application is under review? Mine said this "At this time we are unable to award you a scholarship. However, your scholarship request remains under review and you will be notified if funding becomes available". My status page also says Admited - Fellowship Consideration.

Just wanted to know if that was the same case as yours.

I don't think that everything is lost if you get waitlisted. I know people from last year that got waitlisted and then accepted by April, and even with tuition waiver.

Can a "waitlist" be considered as rejected?
I mean, does Cornell reject right away or you end directly in the waitlist?

Hey I was admitted to Cornell on 31st January 2020. However they did not mention anything about the Scholarship on the email. When I emailed them asking about it, they stated this:

"The committee will consider your request for scholarship funding. To assist with planning your LL.M. year, please note that funding is typically limited and only covers a portion of tuition fees. Most scholarship updates will be provided by mid-April."

So I am guessing this means I am still under consideration. But how much of the tuition fees is usually covered by scholarship?

I got rejected this morning. Horrible news...

I am waitlisted today.

I am still awaiting the decision. My application date is 9 January (status "application complete) and it hasn't changed since then. The checklist hasn't gone blank as well.

I was admitted this morning. My email didn't mention anything about financial aid or scholarships, so I have emailed them to ask about that now.

Update: I did email them about funding/scholarships and they said they don't have any available and I should consider external funding.
