Hello Everyone,
I have received an email from Columbia University that I have been allotted a studio/efficiency unit at 420 West 116th Street. Unfortunately, there is little or no information available only about the unit. Can someone who has stayed here help me with a few pictures or description of the place?
Till now, I have gathered that it is close to CLS and is one of the older residential units of the school.

I lived in that building for a year, it is very conveniently situated across the street from the law school and it is more or less in good shape by NYC standards (even though the kitchens and bathrooms have not been renovated for several decades). It features several studios and one-bedroom apts. Avoid all "D" units, as they do not get sunlight and the only windows have a "view" on a firewall of the neighboring building just a few feet away.

Are you moving in alone or with a roommate/family?

F units are fine (even though not huge for a Family), if you are on 5th floor or above, you should even be able to see the top of some trees of the northern part of Central Park in the distance - have fun!

Convenient : Yes
Furnishings: Dreadfully inadequate
Expensive: Quite a bit
Size: Small, it's difficult to stay in continously (unlike lenfest)
