Columbia decisions

L&E-pil

I noticed that last year the first person to receive admission from Columbia within the scope of the regular cycle was notified on the 11th of January. Based on the fact that admissions procedure doesn't change substantially from year to year, I think it is time for those of us who applied through the regular cycle to start waiting for decisions by Columbia University.
I launch this forum for us to post the decisions that we receive from Columbia.
TIP: When you share your admission with the viewers of the forum, please indicate the date you submitted your application and the date you receive an "application complete notification". This would help the rest of us, to understand when our decision will come out.

I applied on the deadline (17.12, I think), with one of my friends running to the post office one minute before closing time to get it sent in time.

Two days ago I received an e-mail from the Office of Graduate Legal Studies, CLS, where they said they would now begin to review my application... So I guess it will still take quite some time for some of us.

Has anyone not received the "application complete" notification yet?
I applied slightly before the deadline (Dec. 14), but I have not received an email stating that my application was complete.

Hi all.

I know of someone who was admitted to CLS two days ago, not by early review. So it has begun.

Good luck.

My application was deemed complete on Dec 28th. Heard nothing since then. If the regular decisions have started that's exciting news!!

I received the "application completeness" email only few days ago (although I sent all the application materials on early December). It will probably take long time till I receive the answer... long cold waiting. Can't wait anymore...

Hi everybody.

I sent all materials a few days before deadline (Dec. 10), and received completion by e-mail last week.

Good luck to everybody!

Does anyone happen to know if the time that they send you the "application complete" notification plays any role in when they are going to announce you their decision? I received this notification on December the 7th. Does that mean that I am going to receive their decision sooner than others who received the notification later?

I was rejected by CLS yesterday, Jan 28 and Cardozo today. Not my favorite scenario, but just wanted to keep you updated on the latest developments.

The best of luck to you guys!

Does anyone knows if Columbia sends the admission/rejection notices through e-mail or regular mail?
Thanks!

RG, you applied through a regular cycle, right?

CLS website states decisions are delivered March through May. Their decisions seem to be moving forward!

EIS, when did you receive the "application complete" notification?
It seems that already a bunch of people have been accepted to Columbia's LL.M. either through early review or through the regular cycle. I'm starting to lose hope gradually....

I received the application complete notice on Nov 21. There is absolutely no reason to lose hope. It is totally random - I know of a few brilliant people, with better credentials than mine, who still haven't received admission.

Thanks a lot EIS! That's very encouraging. I received the application complete notice on Dec 7, if this plays any role. Anyway, congratulations on your admission to Columbia. There is no need to say how important this is. Where are you from?

I received the admission mail by email, and then by FedEx. Note that admission is only the first step - I'll only be happy when I receive positive answers regarding Financial Aid.
