Who has not received a decision from Columbia yet? Any news?

Me.....I ve sent them an email last week . They told me that no decision was made on my application. I still hope to get in but I also think they re waiting for other people 's deadline on March 25 to make a final choice. U? what do you think about it?

I'm still waiting too. According to UoM experience guess my chance is very small...

I don't think so man, if you have not been rejected in Columbia yet, there is still a chance. A lot of people have been rejected in Columbia already.

I am still waiting .... for Columbia. Let's see what next week brings.

Same here. I think our credentials are simply not good enough for CLS committee to take us, nor are bad so they would issue a outright reject. We're kind on the edge of admission. Neverthethess it makes me feel bad since they keep us waiting and shorten the time of consideration we should enjoy. Many school's deadline for deposit (most of which cost US$500) are due on April 1. This means even CLS gives me an admission in the end, I will be fined US$500 for my late admission. My chance, supposed eventual admission, of going to CLS is diminishing...

I was put in the waitlist last week. I called them today and they told me that I shouldn't expect to hear from them before 7 weeks !! I will also have to spend USD500 to secure my place..

If you tell them you have expiring deadlines from other school, this should work. At least it worked last year...got my admission on March 30st.

I will have to pay USD500 to secure my place in another school, not in CLS. At the end of the day, if CLS accepts me, I will be USD500 poorer.. :)

@jbsinger: Were you also put in the waitlist in Mid-March before you received your admission? Just want to know if there is any chance..

sorry for causing misunderstanding.. I was simply put in the waitlist of CLS, without being asked for making any payment.

@ as_LLM I don't know whether I was on a waitlist or not. They never told me...but I assume I was not on a waitlist.
Since CLS just has not yet reviewed all applications, you shouldn't worry about the fact you didn't hear anything from them so far.

If they have not finished yet, how do they decide who should be placed on the waiting list? seems that waitling list should be created after all the spaces are filled.
Anyway, we can do nothing but wait...
