it took about 1 month for me to receive the formal letter and package. You may ask Ms. LaFarge to send the formal letter to you by fax. She did this in my case.

I've been admitted... but have others elsewhere that I'm still considering.
Any other Canadians on this thread?

Hi everyone, i'm an Indian whose going to be attending Columbia this year. I think the mailing list is a great idea. Do you guys have any thoughts on housing? What's the story on this 'international house'?

Hi everybody,
I see there will be a lot of trained lawyers like me this year.
I am 35 and I have been admitted in february.
I gather I will be attending many courses with many of you (international arbitration, intellectual property and corporate). So see you soon

To aragorn: to find an apartment/room on HIS try to browse 'HIS New York'. But, hurry up: there is an application you have to submit ($ 30,00). Another possibility (careful however, is a jungle) is www.craiglist.com (brokers, agencies and everything you might imagine). Good luck.

Has anyone had any luck with finding housing? I hear that finding affordable housing in NY is really tough. I have a friend who tried to attend Brooklyn Law and had to leave because he could not find a place he could afford. Has anyone found housing yet?

I am still struggling to find a suitable apartment (I am moving my wife and son).
By the way, I have to apologise toyou all, over my last post in which I gave a wrong web address.
The correct one is www.craigslist.com (whereas leaving out the middle 's' - as I did - an horrible sexsite pops up).
Once again, I am sorry for that.

HOUSING:
I've just turned in my deposit to CLS! Now, housing....
I'm completing the application for housing. Seems like a good deal. Anyone know the difference (location, look, whether quiet) between the International House and regular University Housing? I'm not sure which one I should sign up for.
Thoughts?
Theresa
