Columbia and Berkeley - Financial Aid

FAD

I am still waiting too - getting quite nervous, since I got generous offers from other schools, which I will accept latest at 31. March, if I don't hear anything from CLS...
When did they release Financial Aid Decisions in prior years ???

Same here... unfortunately if CLS takes longer than March 31st I will have to accept other offers.

Hi everyone, if it helps I was offered a $40k tuition waiver last year but could still not make it.

Hi afronita, $40 grand is huge. Do you think it's largely because of need or merit? Why were you not able to make it, is it because of the factors relating to CLS or personal reasons? Thanks.

Mostly because of need. And it was still not enough to cover all tuition and accommodation fees noting that I did not have any savings. I requested for an admission deferral.

Hey afronita, may I ask if your admissions deferral request is accepted?

Even though It is unclear at the moment if I will be granted with a waiver or a financial assistance, I think I am in a similar situation with you. So any information or tip showing whether Columbia sees financial inability to attend as a just cause for deferral would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much.
