Was that the first email you had regarding its completion? Mine came through about a day later than when I submitted the app back in November..

No, first e-mail came the day after I submitted my application.

Still waiting to hear from Columbia, I'd received an email saying my application is complete at the beginning of Feb! Everyone else I know got a decision within a few days of receiving the first email. Anyone else in the same boat?

Feb 2nd for me too. Wondering if this means we've been waitlisted? The application tracker seems to be of no help, and the LLMguide discussion boards are strangely silent about Columbia decisions. The waiting is terrible!

I emailed a few days ago asking for an expedited decision due to an upcoming deadline for another university offer. I was told my application was unable to be expedited at this time and that decisions will be made on a rolling basis until mid April. They also suggested I ask for an extension from the other university. They must have a lot to get through!

I understand they they're usually amenable to requests for expedited results closer to the April deadlines that most other univs seem to have. I guess they'll get to it when they get to it - must just continue to wait patiently and hope the delay doesn't signify something ominous!
