Hello everyone,
I sent my apps to some universities a month ago. One of the schools just received my transcripts from my university. They asked me to send in the class rank, but we do not have the class ranking system in my home country. Could somebody tell me how my home country university could write that kind of letter and what information should be included in it.

Ask the Head/Dean of your law school. Sometimes they keep unofficial ranks. That can be recorded and sent in a letter.

and if they don't do that, i guess you will have to write an addendum and explain the grading system or something. i told them what scale our grades are on. for example: A: top 10%, B the next 20% and etc. then it was easy to at least see what percentage of the class i was in, even if it was impossible to get my true rank. sometimes admissions is such a drag, because so many school systems out there are so different from the american system, but they don't always seem to understand. good luck :)
