Dean Badger just sent an email with the list of the 2010 class, and we are 63. He said that he doesnt expect that so many people will take the offer, so, I guess that the waitlist will not move.
Sorry guys, and good luck with your other offers. Not been accepted at one law school is not the end of the world, and Im sure you will be happy in whichever law school that you chose.

natassja, do you know if this list contains the names of students that gave up their spots at UChicago? Could you tell me if there is a Bruno in the list?
thanks
thanks

I gave up my spot yesterday.

natassja: thanks for sharing the news...so sad

really sad. waiting all this time for such outcome...they could have just informed us about the situation they're facing...I began having my hopes high after 3 sposts suddenly became avalible, but now...I'll be in Chicago anyway, but at NU...not that bad...

I am thinking of reapplying this fall for the entry of 2010...but not sure of their attitude towards those whom they did not admit in the previous year...I know of a guy who had been put on waitlist by Cornell, but was waitlisted straight in his reapplication the next year...

I'm considering too...I share your same concern though...best of luck!

According to Dean Badger's email, the list only includes those who have confirmed their assistance to the program. No Bruno on the list.

I have already written twice to Mr. Badger and no reply yet. I do need a response since I am running for a scholarship and I am already in the finals - but they will demand my acceptance letter when I arrive for the interview. What happened to Mr. Badger's informative emails. His deadline has already passed an no tip whatsoever about what is happening. Has anybody received emails from him lately?

Written to him too - no reply! :)

Hey Bobbrazil and Gregor,
As I posted some days ago, I believe that it is very difficult to enter from the waitlist, since Dean Badger sent an email with the list of the 2010 class, and 63 students have accepted already the offer, and I believe that more students will accept in the next few days.

I have just been advised that no further acceptance will be made for Chicago - i.e. NO waitlisted will be admitted. Sorry guys

Do did I:
Dear Mr. ........,
Thank you for your message.
Our response deadline for the admission offers we made earlier in the year was April 15. It has turned out that many of the people we admitted during our initial review of the applications have decided to attend Chicago. In fact, it was substantially more than we expected. We now have 63 people who have unconditionally accepted our offer and a few more may do so in the next couple of weeks. We had aimed for a class of 50 students the size we have maintained for the last few years. As a result, the Graduate Studies Committee has decided not to admit any more candidates this year.
We appreciate your continued interest in coming to the Law School and I am sorry that we will not be able to offer you admission.
Best regards,
Richard Badger
