BU (General) v. Cardozo (IP)

Hi,

I need some help!!

I got into the Cardozo IP program and the BU General LL.M. program with a concentration in Intellectual Property.

I really don't know which to choose. I know BU is probably better in terms of academics, but Cardozo offers such great internship opportunities... Also, I wouldn't write the Mass. bar but I would write the NY bar... Ugh! I can't decide! I need help! Please!

I would say Boston...!!

You can take the NY in any case...Internships..if that is a major deal then Cardozo...look at course options and think about where you really want to study.

Boston is an amazing city and BU has a great reputation nationally.

Thanks!

I'm just freaking out cuz I want to focus my work on entertainment/media IP, and not science/tech IP.... I don't think there are many media IP jobs in Boston, but there tend to be more of those in NYC... So, my main question is - in terms of a job hunt in NYC, which path would get me better jobs in NYC in entertainment IP

Thanks!

Hi, I'm in the same situation. American-Law program of BU vs. Intellectual Property at Cardozo. Both with scholarship. How would you decide? Please let me know. Is it worth turning down Boston University for NEW YORK CITY? (though I know Cardozo is renowned for its ip program..)

Hey,

I have been accepted for LLM IPR in Cardozo Law. I was also admitted to FPLC, UT houston, USF and other colleges. But i opted for Cardozo because its in NY and there are many options for internships there. Also I am interested in a career in IP so that is the main reason for opting Cardozo. Do let me know about your decision.

Regards,

Saurabh

Hi Iwtlic,
Which LL.M did you choose at the end?

I have the same pb as you: I got accepted at Cardozo and GWU for a LL.M in IP but I'm still not sure about my choice. I heard GWU is really good and among the top 3 for IP but it is more specialized in Patent (which is not my topic in IP) and I don't know about the reputation of Cardozo both in the states and in Europe.
