Hi, isradv.
I've been in touch with BU recently about their tax program. I submitted my application, recc letters, and all supporting documents last month. Two weeks later, I had not heard anything from them so I called to check that everything had arrived. The best answer I got was that they had a big pile of applications to go through and they assumed my app was there and they just probably had not worked their way through to my application. I was told it should go complete within a day or two.
I didn't hear anything for 10 days so I checked again and got the same basic answer: they were apparently behind in processing everything in their office but they were sure it was there and would go complete soon.
Nearly a week later, I finally got an email saying my app was complete. That email came at least 3 or 4 weeks after my app had arrived in their office. Apparently they have been overwhelmed the past few weeks.
Good luck,
--Phisher

Thnx for your answer, my application was completed about 3 weeks ago, and since then.... nothing. On their web site they wrote that after 2 weeks they usually have a decision and most likley a date for a phone interview... well... I already got addmited somewhere else so, I will probably go to BU only if they'll offer me a scolarship.

They told me my application was complete in mid-November (I applied in late October). They scheduled me for a phone interview for Jan. 20th, but told me it was just a formality (ie, that I was pretty much accepted). I'm already accepted at GULC, but5 waiting to hear from UF and NYU

How did they schedualed you, by email or phone?
Posted Dec 31, 2008 06:07
they sent me an email and told me to call the admissions office

May I ask which school do you prefer? (beside NYU...)

I'm pretty sure I would pick GULC even if I get into UF because I think there isn't too much difference between the 2 and 3 ranking and I'd rather be in DC

Dear Kstar,
Did the school say that "the phone interview was just a formality" in the email?
I also recieved a phone interview invitation which says: The interview is a chance for us to learn about your interests and plans for study. It also provides you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the program. ...
Have you checked with other applicants whether the interview invitation is really like what you have assumed "you are pretty much accepted"?

Good luck on your interview!
I was waiting for BU for more than 2 month... on the mean time I was admitted to 3 other top law school... so BU became irrelevant for me.

Hi all,
I am a current LLM student at BU and planning to sublet my room at 83 Linden Street (all co-tenants are law students at BU), Allston, MA (for $660/month exclusive of utilities) from June 2009. For more details, please contact me at sithongc@yahoo.fr.

Where were you accepted? Also what do you of BU? Is it considered to be good?

Until now: Duke, UoM Intl. Tax, and UF Intl. Taxation.
I think BU is good, but it's not considered as good as NYU, GULC, Florida or UM.

when i first applied to BU, i though it was better (especially in the banking and finance llm). Now, when i went through some of the posts here I discovered that It might not even be a top 20 in the states!anyway I think I will go to KCL (London);since I do not intend to practice in the states and worldwide the reputation of KCL is better. too bad for NY bar ...
