Boston U. advantages

Bla Bla

Hey guys,

I've got a full scholarship from an entity from my country. Somehow, the scholarship annoucement came out in April 2008 so I managed to apply for just one university which is BU in Banking and Finance Law. I got accepted just last week (2 weeks after my application reached them).

Anyway, the question is here. It seems that my sponsor is not fully satisfied with BU. They are likely to ask me to apply again next year for my most desired law school. I really want to do my master this year...also I consider BU Banking Finance Law is among the best.

If you're kind enough, please help me gather all the good advantages of BU in Banking Finance law (compared to NYU or Cornell). I will have to persuade my sponsor in less than 36 hours.

I really need the positive ways to convince them...one of the committee said his friends at BU always got drunk...I think it's not relevant. but they own the money!!

Thanks and I'll be checking for responses......hope to meet you guys at BU.

Why don't you just call all your more "desired" Universities and ask, whether there is still one little place for you available. Maybe you are lucky. Give it a try!

Are you serious? Can one just ring NYU up and ask if there's a place available at this time? I think it unlikely that they will say yes...anyway...thanks for your opinion.

I'm quite determined to go to BU now but somehow the sponsor isn't convinced that it is good enough...I think it is...please help...

I actually have some advantages in mind but no harm to share your opinion. Many thanks.

Well, I just thought asking is for free, so why not? A friend of mine got a place at Cambridge through this because somebody had quitted the course for unforseen circumstances. Sometimes people are lucky.

Unfortunatelly, I don't know Boston, but I think it should be up to you WHERE you want to do your LLM. As long as you are qualified for a scholarship your sponsor should -to my mind- not care what you want to do. Boston University still is a University in the US, so actually a high standard should be guaranteed. Finding good reasons to study there might moreover be available on the University's website. Just copy the arguments ;-)

I couldn't agree more

Why not just give NYU a call? What could hurt? Them say no? That isn't that bad
