I have read that Boston College is to offer an LLM program in 2007. From what I know Boston College is often ranked better that Boston University, and is considered to be one of the best colleges in the US. What do people think about doing an LLM there? Would it be any good? Is Boston College Law School a good name to have on the CV?

US News:
22. Boston University
....
27. Boston College
But 27. is still quite good.

As it is a new program you may have a better chance to secure financial aid. BC Law offers scholarships to "economically and educationally disadvantaged" students and a need-based tuition award.

Good... in what?
For example, an LLM is not going to allow you to take the MA Bar, so you can't take advantage of any perceived BC home court advantage with Boston firms if you're looking for a job.

Is the faculty at BC good? How well is it rated in the US, I am more interested in academic reputation and breadth of courses rather than links with law firms.
