I got offers from UoM and NU, both for tax llm. Setting aside the endless question of big city (Chicago) vs. small college town (Ann Arbor), I would appreciate your thoughts on the programs themselves.
One obvious difference is that UoM offers a small-sized international tax llm (only for international students) while the tax llm of NU is for US domestic students with JD as well as foreign-educated students.
I heard that NU's program is relatively new (since 2002 I guess) and the environment is quite competitive, especially with JDs purusing better job opportunity after the tax llm, which could be tough for internationals. Is this true?
I would also welcome any general comments about the programs. Thanks in advance.
