Hello,
I Just got the email from them that the deadline for accepting the offer is March 27th. Anybody else got this? I am still waiting from Stanford/Havard, so dunno how should I respond...

I received the same e-mail today. There is a discussion of the subject of Berkely placing a final deadline before several major schools have announced, (especially as Harvard has delayed its March 17th announcement date for at at least another week) and possible strategies to deal with this, in the thread "BERKELEY ADMMITTED" on this board

I received the deadline e-mail too.
I think I'm going to Berkeley. I was wondering when to respond, as I received the letter Tuesday last week (March 14), but the date of issue of the letter was much ealrier...

Same here.
Wonder whether this "unprecedented response to our offers of admission" that they claim to have is true.
Ritu: have you decided how to reply? I'm also waiting for Stanford and Harvard.

postroc: I emailed Stanford and they responded saying that I should try to take an extention from Boalt Hall, since they are still reviewing files.
I think I might have to try for a one week extention, since by that time HLS would have also responded. What do you think?

I guess I'll try the same with Boalt Hall but I doubt they would grant an extension since they made it clear in the email that if they don't hear your confirmation by March 27 they'll put you on the waiting list.
Re Stanford: I just finished the phone interview and they told me decisions would be made sometime next week.
BTW, anyone heard from Berkeley regarding the financial aid? It's strange we're asked to make up our mind before we know for sure where our money is.

I've got the same email yesterday. As the waiting for the others is something uncertain and I would really love to study at Boalt Hall , I may be accepting the offer. Truly, I dont believe that they would grant an extension...
Remember the admission email? If you are undecided about whether you wish to attend Boalt Hall for any reason (including waiting for notification from another school), you may request that we place your name on our waiting list. Placement on the waiting list, however, means that you will no longer have a guaranteed place in the LL.M. program.
By the way, the e-mail I received regarding the March 27th deadline was also sent to someone from Canada, somebody from Chile and someone from Deutschland (as I can tell by the end of the email addresses). Any of you in the same group?
Luck!
