Solsol,
Just leave the deposit and go to Cal with us!!
You're admitted to berkeley! If u go to Boston, it must be a very important agreement I guess!

I am also in. Hard to select between Berkeley and Northwestern LLM/K program. Anyone has suggestion?
Posted Mar 18, 2011 04:12
I would definitely choose Berkeley over Northwestern... Better place, rank, faculty etc...
Congratulations and Good Luck!

I'm also in. I've also been admitted to USC and while Berkeley has a better reputation, I'm really worried about the budget cuts and how they will affect Berkeley. I don't want to pay loads of money to go to a school with closed libraries, broken down computers and cuts in classes (leading to large class sizes). USC has the benefit of being privately funded and doesn't appear to be affected by state budget cuts. Does anyone have any constructive thoughts on which one to choose in light of the above mentioned?

"I don't want to pay loads of money to go to a school with closed libraries, broken down computers and cuts in classes (leading to large class sizes)."
REALLY??
REALLY??
Posted Mar 18, 2011 11:11
Really what?
Posted Mar 18, 2011 13:05
does berkeley have broken classrooms and other sad state of infrastructure as expressed in the earlier post?
Posted Mar 18, 2011 13:27
Just by browsing the Internet, one can conclude that classes have been cut, opening hours of libraries shortened, personnel cut. I don't know how the budget cuts of the past 2-3 years has impacted general environment/resources at campus. I've been studying at underfunded universities all my life and am looking forward to a well funded American university. Perhaps someone has some better info on the status at Boalt hall.
