Does any one know what's going on with LLM recruitment in New York nowadays?

Are firms hiring? Or just firing?

What I hear about they are not recruiting. A friend of mine told me that the only students who got a job from the program that is ending now, were the Germans, but to work in Germany. Maybe in the future to work in U.S. but not now. Only one American Co. is going to recruit in the near future for few spaces in the Tax Area. The job situation in U.S., specially in NY, is really scary. I know because I live here and I'm seeing it everyday.
