Application After Deadline

ShivaniJ.

I know this is absurd,
but is it possible to apply to colleges after the deadline has crossed.
And by that the ones in there are
Harvard
NYU
Columbia
Chicago.

This is probably the silliest question anyone applying for a LL.M program can possibly ask.

Like seriously, where is the effort? Nobody is here to spoon feed you. Instead of logging on to a public online portal, log on to the website and do you ground work.

well, to be bluntly honest: don't you think you answered your own question with your introduction - it's absurd? you already know it. and the deadlines for these schools are well in the past, after all.

deadline - it's in the word already. if they want to suggest a date by which you finish, they will do and call it a "suggestion". if they want to explain to you why they won't even look at your docs if they get them after a certain point in time, they'll call it a "deadline".

i mean, i could imagine that under very rare circumstances, a school accepts late applications, if they don't have enough suitable candidates for their programs - but i'd be surprised if that were the case for the schools you mentioned. there's a reason why they close early.

Shivani, watch your language. There is no difference between your question and the one in the other post, considering that the information you requested, apart from being absurd, is easy to find on each website. It took me 2 minutes to find it regarding CLS and Chicago, so let me "spoon feed" you. I believe you can check the others by yourself:

Columbia: "I missed the application deadline of Dec. 17, 2012. Can I still apply for the 2013-2014 program?
No. Prospective applicants should check back in September 2013 for the application to the 2014-2015 program."

Chicago: "Although the application deadline is December 15, candidates are urged to submit their applications as soon as possible since applications are considered in the order in which they are completed. Our experience has been that the most promising candidates generally apply before the end of November. Any applications received after December 15 will be considered on a space-available basis only. Consideration of completed applications will begin in late November, and most candidates will receive a final decision by mid-April, when a standby group will be created."

Btw, didnt you say in another thread that CLS granted you a deadline extension? Didnt you apply then?
