Different reasons, among other:
-even though the staff of USC sounded a lot nicer and more efficient, UCLA offered me to work with experts in my fields for my PhD while USC didn't;
-even if both schools are excellent and have a good reputation (you can't make a bad choice), in Europe and even in the US, it appears that UCLA is ranked first among professors and attorneys (at least for all the ones I know);
-campus location ( UCLA is in a lot safer area + closer to the beach where I want to live).
Admitted to UCLA?

Hi everybody,
For those waiting, please be informed that I ve just declined UCLA's offer.
It was a very difficult decision to take but, anyway, some space is now available .
Good luck to you all

sorry to hear - perhaps when you got your offer funds was depleted? I didn't get one too but wrote in to UCLA to enquire and was told that funds were depleted.

Hey Nihil,
Which one did you decide for - USC or UCLA? If you don't mind, could you please share your thoughts and logic behind your decision? Looking at the economy, I deferred my decision to do LLM this year but would like to apply for some of the best ones next year. I need to select two from CA (one of my fav places!) Which ones should it be - Boalt and UCLA OR Boalt and USC?
thanks in advance!!
