Hi all. First, thanks to everyone who posts here, it's been a great resource to get information about programs.
My girlfriend and I are both planning to apply to the Tax LLM at Florida, and I was hoping to get a sense of what our chances of both getting in are.
I graduated in '07 from GULC (GPA 3.55, good for top third but not top 15%, no more specific rank available). Undergrad was at Yale. After graduating, I practiced securities and M&A at a big firm in the Midwest, but was laid off last fall. I have a professional recommendation that should be excellent, but my law school rec will likely be pretty weak.
The gf graduated in 2006 (GPA 3.50, also top third). Undergrad was Cal State. Practiced trusts and estates at two small firms, one in DC and one in the Midwest. Probably the same situation on recommendations.
Both applications will hopefully be complete around the middle of this month (deadline is June 1). What do you guys think our chances of both making the cut are?
Many many thanks!

You guys will probably be fine, you're applying really late, though.
