I am just wondering whether any of you have received an acknowledgment of receipt from Penn so far? I have sent in my application weeks ago and have not heard anything yet.
Thanks :-)

Hi. Did they give any additional information about completeness, or just the same you can see in the website??
Thanks and good luck for you both.

I applied last year and i don't remember being notified about the completion of my application. I had to approach them over e-mail in order to ascertain that everything was in order. Honestly speaking, they're not as approachable and prompt as Columbia Law School; i strongly suggest that they follow along the footsteps of the latter.

Thank you all for the information. How did it work out for you, Roberto, if you don´t mind me asking? Penn says they apply a rolling admission procedure. May I ask when you heard from them last year?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I filed my application in late february this year. Since my transcripts were not assembled by LSAC, they had to analyze them, which took them around 2-3 weeks. Afterwards, I contacted them in late march in order to query whether my application was complete whereof they answered me in no certain terms that there was nothing missing and that my application was placed in line to be reviewed by the admissions committee. I awaited a new response but i got none. Therefore, I approached them over e-mail once again and this time they told me that the reviewing process was at the final stages and that i should receive an answer soon. I fretted for over 3 weeks or more and as i got no communication out of them, i approached them through e-mail as usual. This time they informed that regrettably they were unable to find a seat for me because the number of applicants this year turned out to be unexampled. As a consolation prize, i was assured that my application was among the most competitives.

Interesting information, seems that Penn takes some time to make a decision.
Anyway, I hope we are going to recieve a response by February 1st, as it was stated for the "early notification" application process.

Thank you Roberto27 for the information you supplied. So, i guess I should be more patient. It´s quite confusing that every school applies a different admission process. Anyway, let´s just wait and see. At least this all we can do anyway.
By the way: Happy new year ;-)

does anyone know whether one can take the NY Bar with the UPenn LLM? Same question for the Stanford SPILS and Georgetown. Thanks in advance.

It seems that a new link appeared at Penn Law web page ("Penn Law Admitted Students"). I think they have started to send their acceptances, any news???
