I've just received my accpetance at University of Florida with a generous scholarship. Did any of you receive other acceptance from UF or other? I'm still waiting for NYU, Columbia, GULC and BU.

It was around 65% scholaship on tuition costs. I'm also waiting for the early decision at GULC...wish you the best luck!

In case you are admitted to UF, GULC and NYU which one would you attend ?

That is a complicated decision. Unless I receive a full scholarship at GULC, I'll go to UF. NYU and Florida are both my #1 option, and I'll make up mi mind once I receive NYU's confirmation...and a scholarship at NYU is also expected...but still do not know.

Just wanna know if your applying from the U.S. or outside? Im applying to NYU from the UK....and thought that no decisions would be sent out until next March or so???? Or do you think decisions may be given earlier? This year even?

I'm from Argentina, T1 University and among the upper 5% of my class. I'm 25 and 4 years work experience.
I'm waiting for NYU, Columbia, BU, GULC and Virginia.

Did you apply for a scholarship or did they just grant it to you?

I requested the scholarship and the granted it...no additional paper or essay is needed.

I received an acceptance today into U. Florida's tax program. So stoked!

Stats: American student, go to Vandy law, currently, 3.33 gpa (top half to top third), law review, other various extra currics, two years experience doing financial planning prior to law school.

How long took UF to contact you after your application was complete?

And how did they contact you?Through e-mail?

I submitted my application on 10/29/08.

On 11/5/08 I received a letter via email stating that all my materials were received except for a letter of rec. and a class rank statement. The same day I emailed my professor to send my other LOR and had my registrar fax a class rank form.

On 11/7/08 I received a letter via email stating that my application was complete and decisions take 4 weeks from the date of completion, or maybe longer.

On 11/26/08 I received the acceptance letter via postal mail.

Turnaround was amazingly quick in all respects.

In my case, I sent all the material on November 3rd, and they received all the documents Nov 6th. November 13th they confirmed my acceptance and the day after I had a phone conference with the Director and he offered me a scholarship in case I accept their offer.
I think that they move fast if your profile and background interest them.
Where are you from? Are you considering applying to UF?

Actually, I have already sent my documents to Levin, with the exception of the TOEFL score (105), which I am expecting to be delivered by ETS very shortly. I got my results last Thursday and immediatly made the delivery order.

elnico86, did they reach you by e-mail to tell u about the admission? I am kind of worried, cause I'm not at home very often and my parents can't understand a word of english...

As you, I graduated from a T1 School in my country, but among top 25%. I have 3 years of work experience in a B4. What do you think??

They contacted me by e-mail one week after they received my papers, even before they received my official scores from ETS (I sent them a simple copy and then the official score report). We try to coordinate a phone conference and in the meanwhile, once we decided a date, they sent me the acceptance letter by e-mail one day before the phone chat.
My impression, according to your comments, is that you have good chances of being accepted, TOEFL is great, being a T1 university is excellent, as well as your work experience...25% is not an excellent but It's not a disaster either. Did you make an LLM in your country?
