I am requesting this information for my daughter. She is a US citizen wanted to practice law in US. We are in india and she studied in india upto her 12th grade. There are couple of route she can choose to go, but all options are totally confusing to us. We are interested in an option where we can cut down the number of years in legal education studyand to sit for bar in calfornia. We were from california and we can right fit in.

Option 1: 5 year BA+LLB in india, followed up with either JD or LLM in US. It takes enormous amount of time. 8 years in total. Most likely when someone finishes LLM in US, i was told recruiters will send students right back to where they came from .
Total time = 8 years+ time it takes to sit for BAR in california

Option 2: 3 year UK Law + 3 year JD in US. I could not see much information on whethey they will allow her to get admitted to JD in US with a 3 year UK degree.

Question:
If we chooses UK route of 3 year LLB as first year law degree. This she will do immediately after her 12th in india.
1) she will have only 15 years education by then (12 years in india + 3 year in UK)
2) Will she be admitted to JD in US or LLM in US with that 3 year UK LLB
