1st llm outside US? what's the effect?

hi everybody,

I have a fist llm degree from a University outside of US.
My GPA was quiet low in my first law degree (2.7), but my llm GPA is substantively higher than the first one..(about 3.5)

Do you think that having already made an llm outside of US will have a positive effect on my application?

thanks

i don't understand why it shouldn't have a positive effect. The admissions officer in U of Michigan told me she thinks it's an asset, and really common sense implies that it should be an asset. Perhaps it might harm your profile if it indicates lack of orientation for instance if you pursued an ll.m that doesn't fit in with your future plans the way you describe them in your application, but this too seems to be extremely far fetched. Good luck
