Can anyone tell me what happens when a non-European student(studying in UK) marries someone from say France or England?Does that person get a spouse visa and is permitted to work in EU countries?Does that person have to give up the citizenship of his own country?
Would someone please help me out?
Thanks

Citizenship is not covered by European Community law but is rather done so by the domestic laws of member states. So the rules may be very different depending on whether you marry a French or a British national. The rules in Britain are covered by the British Nationality Act 1981. Here's a link to the relevant website. Scroll down to item B which should be of some help to you. Hope this helps and always remember to get a variety of opinions.
