I have applide to some LLM courses at several universities, like Glasgow, East Anglia, Dundee and Aberdeen.
Glasgow - Corporate and Financial Law,
East Anglia - International Trade Law,
Dundee - International Commercial Law,
Aberdeen - International Commercial Law.
But, yet waiting an offer from Aberdeen.
Now, thinking what to choose, however, I think I would give my preference to Aberdeen, when the offer will be done.
What do you think? Any comments are welcomed.

You should definitely go to Aberdeen if you get an offer. Now, for the sake of argument, lets say you dont, then I think Glasgow should be the next choice, followed by Dundee and then East Anglia. Now, may I ask why you didnt apply to any university in London (LSE, UCL, KCL or QM)? Im not saying that youre wrong or that you shouldve applied, Im just curious. And why didnt you apply to Edinburgh (in my opinion that should be your first choice in Scotland).

I am interested in doing LLM in International Trade or Commercial Law. Top 7 Universities have srtict requirements towards applicants and they are more expencive.
I chose a listed universities because of modules they offer.

I am currently at Aberdeen doing the LLM in international commercial law. I practiced law before comming here, so it was important for me to find a program that was not just about esoteric "academic" points of law. The program here is actually quite practical, and I am happy with my choice.

Zixx777 thank you for your post.
I am from Central Asia. And, as a foreigner I am in a quite doubt situation, whether to choose Aberdeen or Glasgow? I received an unconditional offer from both Universities in studying LLM in International Commercial Law. However, Glasgow does not have modules on Oil and Gas law.
Second concern is a job after the graduation, where it is easy to find?
Can you say something on these issues?

No worries Jmimik. Everyone in this program is a foreigner! It is like the United Nations--I think there are students from just about every country here! To lrt you know where I am comming from, I should tell you that I am a licensed lawyer in both Canada and Australia. I have 7 years of "real world" experience. I chose Aberdeen, because it has a great reputation for "practical" law (i.e. not esoteric junk that never gets used in real life). The two biggest LLM programs here are International Commercial Law and Oil and Gas (Aberdeen is the "Oil and Gas Capital" of the UK). If you are interested in these two areas, and what to actually practice law when you are finished, I would recommend Aberdeen. If you intend to go on and do a PhD and teach law, I would suggest you consider Glasgow.

I wasnt going to post anything, because thereve been other similar posts where I have stated my preference towards Aberdeen many, many times. But considering our friend PUCCA has decided to post - and Im trying to catch her up in number of posts : ) - I really couldnt let it pass me by and not give my opinion!

Aberdeen no doubt! I dont know if you have ever been to Aberdeen in your life (I havent), but I have wandered about the streets of Aberdeen using googlemaps (you can easily find Taylor Building, home to the Law School) and I just find it fascinating! I really recommend you do that if youve never been there before. And, of course, not only because of the city, but also because the University enjoys great reputation round the UK (especially in law) and the programme offers good modules.

"Zixx777" as you live in Aberdeen, what about finding a job overthere? I mean, is it possible for foreign students to find a work on in the specialty?
And, how much does it costs to hire an accomadation for students with a family? I have got wife and a son. I am planning to bring them with me.

To be honest Jmimik, I have never thought about staying here for a job. The type of work I do is done by large businesses in places like London, Hong Kong, etc. I expect I'll be moving away as soon as I'm done. As for job prospects in other locations, the market is still slow but it is picking up. Since I've been here I've had two enquiries from recruiters on when I will be available. If that is any indication, I'd say employment prospects are good.

Costs over here are expensive. For a family, you are probably looking at between 550 to 650 pounds per month for accomodation. It might be cheaper if you can find someone else who is comming with a family and rent a good-sized house together and share the costs. The University has an accomodation website that might be of use to you, as it allows you to post for roommates and check some local prices.

Go to Glasgow.

Its 600 years old, campus is amazing, importantly the faculty are internationally known - caveat is - its heavily theortical - all degreed are geared towards making academics as oppose to generic lawyers. Also...really small classes - a big plus.

The city is awesome too.
