I've received an offer for Station Court, Unite Students. I'm going to accept this offer.
Anyone else at Station CourT?

I've got a question regarding the word limit for UCL.
It says it shouldn't be longer than 3000 characters - but that's hardly 500 words! For LSE the word limit is around 1,000-1,500 words.
Alternatively, I can attach a document if it's above 3,000 characters. But it doesn't say how long it can be max. What did you guys do about that?

Hmm isnt it 3000 words? I remember my personal statement was about a page and a half...

It's 3000 characters for the box in the application, but you can attach a longer personal statement. Mine was about a page and a half too - about 1000 words or slightly less.

Dear felipereis,
Just to clarify, I too received an email from UCL stating that i've been offered a conditional spot at UCL. However, 20 minutes post that email, I received another email from UCL stating that there is a problem with their mailing system as a result of which all applicants for the 2012/13 LLM program had received a mail, stating the same and that I should overlook the email.
Did the same thing happen with you?
Cheers

Just to add on to dare.devil's post that I got those emails too.

They have sent this email for all of applicants and after has sent another saying that was a mistake.
So, I have sent an email requesting clarifications and they explain that indeed there was a mistake, however, in my case, I have really received and offer, which was mailed to my address on tuesday.

Dear effloresce
I guess we should email and inquire with respect to the same as well then. What say?

I don't think there's a need to. From what it sounds like, felipereis already knew that he/she had an offer via post and so the clarification was necessary. I haven't received anything by post and I didn't expect to since my application only went complete about a week ago. Don't want to give the admissions staff extra work!

Only to let you know, today UCL changed my application status and showed my offer in its website (https://evision.ucl.ac.uk)

Amazing!
When did you send off your application for UCL?

When did you send off your application for UCL?
I sent the application on October 26, and it was completed on October 27, date in which my referees mailed my letters of reference.
I received my offer by email last week but only today it appeared in website.

I just got the same email again, which was apparently sent out by mistake to everyone last Friday:
"I am pleased to advise that I have recommended to the Admissions Office, UCL Registry, that you be offered a place on the LLM programme at UCL.
This email does not constitute an offer of admission to UCL. A formal letter will be sent to you in due course, subject to final checks by the Admissions Office. That letter will constitute the official decision on your application."
Now can I rely that this is exact information or might it be a mistake again?
Also, if the decision is not yet final, why do I receive this email? To make me feel excited I MIGHT get an offer and then in the end I might still be rejected? Or does it mean it is very unlikely that the Admissions Office rejects me? I.e. is the Ad. Office only a formality?

Hi Bolivia,
They have accepted your application. Don´t worry. You can track your application and confirm the offer, but you have to wait about 24 hours for the update your status. You will can accept the offer using the online system.
Finally, you cand send an email to admission´s office and confirm the offer but I think it is not a new mistake, such as occurred before.

Hi Bolivia, congrats! If you read the UCL threads from last year, the 'recommendation' is merely a formality.

I received the mail as well, so I'm guessing I have a conditional offer from UCL as well now. :-D
