Starting late my studies in law, the end of studies (LLM & phD in good universities) will find me at 31-32. I am qualified in my country (Eu) but I would really be interested to join a central european or english law firm. Should I seek for a traning contract first? Would I be elligible for a training contract at such age?

No need to pursue an LLM or a Ph.D. An LLB followed by the Legal Practice Course are all that is necessary as far as qualifications are concerned. Age would not hinder your application for a training contract. :)

thanks a lot for your info. very kind of you. phD is something i am doing for myself, for my own pleasure since for me it would be better to stay in the academia. just wanted to know about the possibility of working in a law firm in case my future wife starts asking for things i could not otherwise afford! :)
