The Definitive 2011 Cambridge Thread

Really?That soon? :(
I thought the deadline for submission was the 31st of July- the date they mention as a deadline in the graduate prospectus..sigh..

In any case, many thanks for the info, Cricket!

Does anyone know when AHRC decisions are made?

Im not entirely sure but I read that we find out in April. However, I have emailed Suzanne asking her this so I will post her response when I receive it.

I received an offer from Oxford today, could I ask how many others are in? I dont know how to choose now :S

Congrats Dionne! There's a separate thread for Oxford decisions, which should give you an idea of numbers.

There are a considerable number of us who still haven't received a camsis update :(
Regarding academic conditions, I am quite positive they will require a 1st class or an overseas equivalent. Which in my country will probably translate into a very high average grade.

thanks for the tips!
still no news though :( and im wondering if i should be worried...

Dear eaglelegal

I am from P.R. China and here is still no news to come for me about Cambridge. Although the possibility is fading as time goes by, I decide to wait till April 15th, the date they promised to make the last offer for this year.

^^ best wishes

Dear, HongKong isnt China, neither PR China, nor RO China. And people from Hongkong never think of they are Chinese or they belong to China.

Nevertheless, HK (SAR! ;-)) still lies in Asia. Take it easy*.

I'm from India and haven't heard from them yet. And, other people I know who've applied haven't heard either.

Judging by last years' posts, no rejections are sent untill the the last minute. People then usually get really anxious with time and decide to phone Miss Wade and ask her.

I need a piece of advice. I am extreeeemely worried about my academic conditions. Everything depends on whether they will ask me to graduate by a CERTAIN date or simply with a specific AVERAGE grade. Do you think I could phone Miss Wade and ask her about my academic condition?
The uncertainty is killing me.. :(

p.s. those of you whose CamSis has been updated, does it show your conditions?

thnx so much!

Cambridge has just released their provisional list of papers to be offered in 2011/12:

Is anyone else dissapointed by the reduction in international law modules this year?

They have dropped International Criminal Law, History and Philosophy of International Law and Law of Armed Conflict without replacing them with other international modules. I know the modules change every year, but I was dissapointed

Yes, I am. I think they should definitely revise their choice of Int'l law courses (after all, the list is supposed to be subject to amendments).
