Hello,
If I have not received an answer regarding my application, does this mean that I got rejected or will they inform me about the outcome both in case of acceptance and rejection? Does anybody know??
Thank you in advance

I called in last week. They said they weren't done with mine and they would let me know, hopefully, this week. So keep your head up.

Hi tony_cash,

From the threads, i think the best way so far on knowing the status of your application is to call Ms Wade. She is the officer in charge of the LLM application. The only problem is that it is very difficult to get through to her line. You may need to try many times for a few days but when you do get her, it would definitely be worth the effort as she usually would be able to tell you whether they are still considering your application, or whether your application has succeeded or not. I know the wait can be excruciating so i do understand how you feel.Good luck!

The Cambridge LLM admissions process takes ridiculously long. Needing five or in some cases six month to answer candidates is close to unprofessional.

Just to clarify, this is certainly NOT pitiful Ms Wade's fault. And the negative benchmark this year has clearly been set not by Cambridge, but by Stanford Law School and their cancellation of the IELBP programme in early April(!). And I will read for the Oxon MJur anyway. But still: this massively sucks.

Received an email from Ms Wade today:

"Thank you for applying for the Cambridge LLM course. Your application is still being considered by our LLM Admissions Committee. We will write to you again as soon we are able to finalise the outcome of your application, on Monday 23 April at the latest. But if you have any queries in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact me."

I guess this means I still have a chance. All in all it is very nice to finally hear something from the school. And there is a 'date' - be it rejection or acceptance, it seems the painful wait is finally near its end.

Today is Monday 23 April. Still no outcome notification so far. Honour to whom honour is due.

Indeed. Nothing is heard and it was rather frustrated.

also received an email from Ms Wade today;;

"Thank you for applying for the Cambridge LLM course. Due to the unprecedented number of applications to our LLM programme this year, the process is taking longer than it has in past years. We appreciate your patience.
Should you have already decided to pursue your LLM elsewhere, please let us know no later than April 26."

This is getting quite frustrating. They told me I will be informed about the outcome of my application shortly. Well, I hope shortly means in the next few days or even hours. All the best for all applcants still waiting.

And what for should we then have paid our application fee?

Apologies for being repetitive, but I was informed by Ms Wade on 14 April (without having asked for it) that I would learn about the outcome of my application on 23 April AT THE LATEST.

Anybody else freaking out just now?

Ralph,

I had a feeling it would go down like this. I mean, they're top 3 in the world, but a local community college has a better admissions department.
