London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and King's College London both have prestigious LLM programmes in Taxation
Taxation at LSE
Taxation has been taught at LSE since its foundation in 1895. Post-graduate study of tax law at LSE began over forty years ago as part of the University of London LLM, the oldest tax LLM programme in Europe. The Taxation programme in LSE's new LLM continues this tradition, offering a range of courses covering some of the most innovative and academically challenging topics in tax law. In addition, we have maintained links with the other tax teachers in the University of London. A selection of lectures in some of the taxation courses are conducted jointly with other University of London colleges, ensuring that LSE tax students have access to all of the leading tax teachers in London, both within and outside LSE.
LSE is one of the major world centres for research and teaching in the social sciences. It has an outstanding reputation for research in the whole range of social sciences including economics, sociology, international relations, business, and law. In the 2001 research assessment by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, 92% of the School's research was assessed as being in the top two categories of national and international significance. The Law Department received the highest possible rating: 5*A. Many world leaders in politics, industry, and finance have studied at LSE, and the School presents challenges and opportunities for every student.
The programme of tax courses is part of the overall LLM degree. The following courses in taxation are expected to be available
Elements of Taxation
EC Tax Law
International Tax Law

Russ,
your message on Tax LLM was very helpful. I have been accepted to MSC in Law and Accounting course in LSE (i do not have a legal background therefore was not able to do LLM). What do you think of this course? Are there a lot of similar subjects taught in this and LLM course? Thanks
