I will be soon applying for a PhD. What should be included in one's first mail to their potential supervisor? How much detail should I provide concerning my resaerch proposal; should I merely state the topic and go into more depth upon receiving a encouraging response?
Is there a certain ettiquette one needs to follow in this respect?
Any feedback would be much appreciated!!
Thank-you!
